Bäckerei Kramme
The people

Family-run since 1906

In 1906, Paul Kramme took over Bäckerei Carl Ebbefeld in Hemer — and it has carried the family name ever since. Baking continued across generations: master craftsman certificates, reopening after the First World War, the first electrically powered bakehouse, new premises in 1979, and the centenary in 2006 celebrated with prices from 100 years ago. In 2013 came the boldest step: reopening as an all-spelt bakery.

The product

Everything made from 100% spelt

Bread, rolls, pastries, and sweet treats are made here exclusively from spelt — traditional baking craftsmanship with quality ingredients, free from additives. Spelt is considered one of the world's original grains and is often easier to digest than wheat, which is why the bakery chose to focus entirely on this single crop. The result is a selection for anyone looking to enjoy baked goods with complete peace of mind.

The place

Hauptstraße 102, Hemer in the Sauerland

The spelt bakery is based in the heart of Hemer, alongside its own market stall and supply to local eateries. If you cannot take in the aromas of the bakehouse in person, you can pre-order online and collect your fresh bake. A small team, a clear promise — and apprenticeships for the next generation of bakers.
