Der Bastelladen – Töpferei Fricke
The people

Silke and Hanno-Frank Fricke

Silke and Hanno-Frank Fricke run the shop together with eight colleagues. Their aim: cover every craft completely – materials, tools and books with instructions. Advice is personal, rounded off by services such as paper cutting, spiral binding and firing pottery customers bring in.

The product

Ceramics from the potter's wheel

Master potter Hanno-Frank Fricke throws the ceramics freely on the wheel in the traditional way and fires them dense at around 1,250 °C. The shapes are made for everyday use and mostly undecorated, all glazes are label-free and dishwasher-safe – pots, mugs, vases, jugs, bowls and tea sets.

The place

Amalienstraße in Weimar

The shop sits at Amalienstraße 17 in Weimar and spans 275 m² across two floors. Alongside craft and pottery supplies it holds papers, paints, tools, books, toys, stationery and gifts.
