Behind Grüner Gedanke is Ela Gehrke, who launched the online shop in 2019. As an independent photographer, she has spent many years running photoshoots for women and guiding them through workshops on self-love. With the shop, she fulfilled her wish to offer carefully chosen items that enrich everyday life. She is accompanied by her dog Frieda, the resident cuddle expert, who loves spending time in the garden.
The collection ranges from home accessories and decorative pieces to kitchenware, storage jars, wall prints, and personal care. The focus is on natural materials such as woven banana fibre, water hyacinth, rattan, seagrass, and cotton. Items like handwoven blankets, knitted dishcloths, or grain mills combine aesthetics with mindful everyday living. The selection is complemented by Ela's own photographic art on canvas and creative recipe ideas.
