Behind Leicoma stands Raunitzer Agrar GmbH, the last full-time farm in Germany breeding the Leicoma pig. In 2012 the breed was critically endangered — today more than 100 sows and 10 boars live on the farm again. Orders are shipped by HollandLaden UG in Gimritz.

Following the nose-to-tail principle the whole animal is used: bratwurst, salami with walnuts, ham, peppered snack sausages, lard with crackling and home-style sausage in jars, pressure-cooked to keep for a long time. Alongside that, soaps, hand and foot cream and hair wax made with Leicoma lard, plus wine, liqueur and gift packages.

Birth, rearing, fattening, butchering and processing all happen in the region. In Gimritz sows, boars and piglets live in separate barns; from 30 kilograms the animals move to the Dornitz site with a straw-bedded outdoor run available around the clock. Fresh meat is ordered by WhatsApp or email and shipped to your door.
