The founders of Shop in Lapland come from Gällivare. The webshop has existed since 27 June 2008; today it is run by Shop in Lapland C&G AB with a strong sense for form, aesthetics and respect for the artisans.
The focus is on pewter bracelets with braided pewter thread on vegetable-tanned reindeer leather with a reindeer-horn button, plus silver jewellery – such as a reindeer-antler ring by a Sámi silversmith from Karesuando – and wooden cups (kåsa) from the Torne Valley.
From 2008 there was a shop in Gammelstad Church Town near Luleå. Since January 2024 everything runs through the webshop with a warehouse in Boden – orders often ship in reused boxes.
